Fun at the Park!!

We have discovered that James loves the park. He is a big fan of the swings, but it has to be in the right mood for them we have found. He really enjoys the walk to the park and watching all the other kids playing at the park. We think that he favorite is swinging with mommy & daddy best!

Look at my teeth!!!

James is very proud to annouce that he now has 1 tooth & another trying to break through next to it. 2 down only 17 more to go :) Pray that God will be with us!!!

Yummy Cookies!!!

I sent Don to Target last night to get more formula and he came home with teething biscits. I didnt know if James would really like them or know what to do with them since it took awhile with the gerber puffs but he LOVES them!! Since he only has two teeth I wasn't sure if he would be able to eat them and not choke but he did great. I did learn real fast that you have to break the cookie in half or James will try & try again to get the whole thing in his mouth :)

New Bath Tub!!

James has outgrown his baby bath tub & I am not yet comfortable with him just sitting in the bath tub....so we found this cute little ducky at Target that is a blow up bath tub. James was pretty scared of it at first but each day we worked with sitting him in the tub in the living room and letting him play in and now he loves it at bath time. When you squeeze the bill of the duck it quacks and James will just sit there & smile & giggle :)

Big Boy High Chair

James is finally at the age where we have moved him up to the big boy high chair. We have just been using those little traveler booster seats but since he learned that he can tip the chair back that the booster seat it attached to, it was time to put that one away! He was pretty excited for the big boy seat....

Blank Park Zoo

Today my very good friend Ashley & I took James to the Zoo. This was James' 1st time at a Zoo and he had a BLAST!!! I think that he was more interested in the kids that were running around and screaming but he did really like the Otter at the Zoo, he just laughed & laughed watching the Otter's swiming under the water. I would say his 2nd favorite was the water falls and feeding the Goats :) Don & I are planning on getting a membership at the Zoo since James loved it so much, I have a feeling that I will be spending many Monday's there....enjoy the pictures below!!!

We didn't even make it a block down the road from the Zoo on the way home and he was out like a light!!

Hmmm Strong Willed???

So this morning James instested that he wear his sun hat while eating his breakfast. When Don took it away from him he got mad, so I know that this is re-enforcing bad behavior but come on look at this happy guy once he got to wear his hat while eating :)

I wanted to share this story with you all. James & I took our anually Monday Walmart shopping trip and we had to get some more diapers. James loves anything with a baby or a kid on it, so when he woke up from his nap he noticed that there is a baby on the diaper box, he started to talk to it and beat the box with his wooden spoon that he LOVES to play with. Than James kept trying & trying to pull himself up on the box, which by the way you cant leave the kid alone for 2 seconds cause he is pulling himself up on everything and even tried walking along side of the couch today, anyways he finally was able to pull himself up on the diaper box and he was SO proud of himself, I had to share this photo :)

1st Easter

This was James' 1st Easter and he had a blast. We started to morning off with opening his Easter basket from the Easter bunny. He didnt really get the idea that there is stuff inside the eggs but he loved his card and little yellow ducky. We decided to put $2 bills in his eggs instead of candy since he can't eat candy yet and Don & I would have just been tempted to eat the candy for him :) We than headed off to Indianola to see G'ma & G'pa Sharr and Great G'ma Ginny. James also got to see his Great Aunt Judy distant cousin Josh. Josh hasnt seem James since Christmas so I am sure he thought that James was alot bigger from last time. We than headed home James & mommy took a nice long nap and we finished the day off with a nice family walk. Hope that you enjoy the photos below:)

G'ma & G'pa Sharr

I wanted to post some pictures of James with his grandparents. Don's folks come over every Saturday to see James and he LOVES it!! James usually takes a nice long nap after they leave so we know that he is playing hard and having fun with them :) It is nice to see James have such a close relationship with his G'ma & G'pa Sharr since I never had that growing up and I am glad that he will!

Easter Bunny!!!

We took James to go meet the Easter Bunny. We thought that he would be scared of him but he LOVED him! Of course he was smiling the whole time except when the girls tried to take the photo. The Easter bunny just kept waving at James and he kept on laughing and wouldn't let go of his hand. I had to pretty much peel James off him :)

Big Boy PJ'S

It was a sad moment for Don & I but we brought ourselves to buy James some big boy PJ's since it is starting to get warm out & he is growing like a weed, we are now in 12 month clothing. He looks SO big in them and it is a little sad not to see him in his footie PJ's :)
